• Osteria by Terroni on Victoria

Earlier this week, Jenna and I walked by the former Terroni at 106 Victoria, and saw a sign advertising the opening of “Osteria by Terroni.”

“Osteria” is the Italian word for tavern, and according to this thread on Chowhound, it may be a lunch place. When I lived on Victoria, we liked to go to Terroni for their Antipasto Misto, but curiously, since moving to Adelaide, the antipasto has disappeared.

Via Jean Burgess’s creativity/machine, a link to the first five minutes of Saul Bass’s Why Man Creates:

Had I only seen this earlier, perhaps I could have forgone FYP.

  • CBC TV + Bittorrent

This has already been practically everywhere, but since it’s something I’ve been wishing for for a long time, I’ll mention that CBC TV is planning to release television programs via Bittorrent. Let’s hope that they’ll actually generate a feed that’s compatible with Miro.

Not that I’m particularly interested in the program they’re offering (Canada’s Next Great Prime Minister), but this is a huge step in the right direction. Now if they’d only release jPod and Sophie, two of the shows I already “illegally” download via Bittorrent.

  • How To Make a Radio Show

This past weekend, the Spark team and Tristan showed up at the CBC and made a little behind-the-scenes video to explain how we make the radio show every week:

It’s great, because now I don’t have to explain what I do all day.
