Fruity Cheerios & Froot Loops
I’ve posted before about Fruity Cheerios, General Mills’ answer to Froot Loops. Though I’ve not yet done a side-by-side comparison, I presume that the two products are fairly similar.
This morning, during brunch at OK OK, I spotted the two rival products sitting right next to each other. Note that they are the only two cereals on display:
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new Coke/Pepsi.

Rocket Science
After hearing Jeffrey Blitz a few days ago (on my new favourite radio show The Sound of Young America), I decided to watch Rocket Science, which I just finished.
The soundtrack, mostly by Eef Barzelay, is excellent.
Expect to hear selections soon on a public radio program near you, if you haven’t already.

Jim Dupree is back
Ever since the final episode of Jim Dupree: Enthusiast about a year and a half ago, people have asked, “Are you ever going to make more episodes?”
The answer for a long time was, “No.”
But as of yesterday, that answer changed. Starting on Groundhog Day 2008 (yesterday), we started to release season four of the podcast series, on a schedule that can only be described as “Fibonacci.” Here’s the release schedule:
Season 4, Episode 1: February 2, 2008
Season 4, Episode 2: February 3, 2008
Season 4, Episode 3: February 5, 2008
Season 4, Episode 4: February 8, 2008
Season 4, Episode 5: February 13, 2008
Season 4, Episode 6: February 21, 2008
Season 4, Episode 7: March 5, 2008
Season 4, Episode 8: March 26, 2008
Season 4, Episode 9: April 29, 2008
Season 4, Episode 10: June 23, 2008
That’s right. The time between episodes gets exponentially longer.
Head on over to the Jim Dupree website to check out the new videos or subscribe.

Mic bomb?
I work at the CBC’s Broadcasting Centre in Toronto. Just down the hall from my desk, they built something called an “Idea Room.” It’s a nice, big, bright room with a table, and chairs, and whiteboards. We use it for meetings, where presumably, we come up with ideas. Hence the name.
The walls of the Idea Room are made of glass. Which is nice, but can be distracting.
So today they frosted the glass with decals, tag cloud-style. The walls are now covered with lots and lots of words:
Do you see what I see?
“mic bomb?”
I can only guess this is an unfortunately cropped instance of “atomic bomb,” but still.
Is “mic bomb” something you want to read on your way to the radio studios?
