Audio Hijack Pro 2.5 beta 1
Looks like the good folks over at Rogue Amoeba have released a new beta of their excellent Audio Hijack Pro application.
I use it to capture internet radio streams. This new version supports Griffin’s RadioSHARK, so now I’ll be able to completely bypass the buggy Mac software that came with it.

Has the CBC sold out to Microsoft?
Strange. From CBC and MSN:
All signs point to the likelihood the CBC and MSN have cut some sort of deal.
The CBC is now also providing content for MSN’s Sympatico webpage brand. (See the Sympatico FAQ as well).
This is a big problem.

Scarberia
Today I spent the day in Scarborough with the good folks from CBL. We were taping a special town hall called “Between Two Worlds” all about teen identity. It’s part of the CBC’s week-long The Teen Age programming. We were at L’Amoreaux Collegiate, and the students were incredible — articulate, thoughtful, and engaged.
I was an “audience rover,” basically a human microphone stand. A student would raise their hand, and I’d run over as quickly as possible. I got to wear a red shirt and a headset. Several of the kids told me repeatedly that they thought I looked like Napoleon Dynamite.
It was a blast.

Chill Out & Love Up Big Brother
Just finished reading CBC to Indie Culture Fans: Chill Out & Love Up Big Brother. A good read, and some interesting ideas about Radio 3’s new direction.
